Module 3: The Voice We Hear. The Mask We Wear.

"Depression has a voice—a cruel whisper that preys on our vulnerabilities. For years, I let it shape how I saw myself, hiding behind a mask to conceal how much I disliked who I was. In this module, I’ll share what it’s like to live with that voice and ask the key question: is the pain we carry just a part of life, or could it be a treatable illness?"

Chapter 1

"What if the negative thoughts in your mind are not based on reality, but a symptom of an illness?"

Ask Yourself: “Do I feel like my mind is working against me? Do I feel like my mind controls me, not the other way around?"

Chapter 2

"What if: Success doesn’t prevent depression—it sometimes deepens it?"

Ask Yourself: “Do I often pretend to be happier than I’m actually feeling?  Is my life as enjoyable as it used to be?  Do I still look forward to things?"

Chapter 3

"What if: The poker face you’ve mastered is preventing you from connecting with others who might understand you?”

Ask Yourself: “Do I show people what I’m feeling, or do I show them what I think they want to see in me? Am I hiding my true feelings to fit in? Am I living a life that’s true to myself?"
